Many families experience the exhaustion, isolation and burnout that comes with having a child with diabetes, but now there's a new resource with the launch of LearnDiabetes.

The interactive, multimedia platform provides easy-to-understand education and training for families of children and youth living with type 1 diabetes to complement traditional diabetes teaching. The site provides a tool for families to better cope with diabetes and empowers them to self-manage the disease, no matter where they live in B.C.

Built in collaboration with the BC Children's Hospital Digital Lab and co-created with the Diabetes Transformation Project Patient and Family Advisory Board, this incredible platform is truly a game changer: a first-of-its-kind tool serving the pediatric diabetes community.
The platform was made possible through innovation, collaboration and the generosity of donors.
Through the efforts of a community of dedicated supporters, the BC Children's Hospital Foundation raised more than $3.1 million to fund the project.
