We are thrilled to launch our Global Health Allies Program which aims to build expertise in global health research and activities amongst nurses and allied health professionals at C&W. This program was developed in collaboration with leadership at C&W and the Centre for International Child Health, and graciously supported by the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. As we have seen recently, the health of all people is connected globally and we recognize the critical role that nurses and allied health professionals in providing care to patients across the continuum.
We are currently recruiting a Global Health Research Nurse for a 1 year position (temporary) from C&W to launch and develop this program. This opportunity is targeted for nurses who have worked at C&W for at least the past 2 years.

The Global Health Research Nurse will support the development and monitoring of this pilot program through two main pillars. 1. They will support ongoing global health research projects in low resource settings in order to enhance quality improvement, research, education, and partnership activities; and 2. they will build engagement in global health research and activities with nurses and allied health professionals at C&W through regular events, communications and interest groups and lead the development of policies and procedures for employee engagement in global health.
