About

The Spine Program at BC Children’s Hospital sees approximately 50 patients each week for scoliosis and other spine-related conditions and injuries. 

Our team

The clinical team consists of Dr. Chris Reilly, Dr. Firoz Miyanji, Dr. Ravi Ghag, and Dr. Andrea Simmonds who work with many other doctors, nurses and hospital staff to provide comprehensive, individualized care to our patients.

Prepare For Surgery

There are several different types of surgeries that are common for children with a spine deformity. It is important to speak to your surgeon about the potential role of surgery for your child, discuss the risks and benefits, and make an educated decision regarding a treatment course.
