Did you know that preeclampsia is a leading cause of maternal mortality and premature births? 1 in 12 pregnancies are affected by preeclampsia. 76,000 maternal deaths and 500,000 infant deaths are attributed to preeclampsia worldwide, yet 60% of maternal deaths due to preeclampsia are preventable.
The Preeclampsia Registry unites patient experience with clinical data, creating a significant resource for researchers to find ways to prevent, diagnose, treat, and cure preeclampsia. The Registry is looking to reach 8000 participants by the end of the year, and here is how you can help!
You can enroll in The Preeclampsia Registry as a control – it is not necessary to have experienced preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, or any other hypertensive disorder during pregnancy to enroll. You can still provide valuable data and contribute to preeclampsia research.
