Best Wishes Program
This free service allows family and friends to send their best wishes to a patient staying at BC Children's Hospital.
Hospital volunteers and staff hand-deliver messages Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sending a greeting
Email us at bcchbestwishes@cw.bc.ca and include the following information:
- Your greeting to the patient. Do not share confidential information. We will delete any messages containing sensitive or inappropriate information
- The patient’s full name, room number and/or their hospital unit, if available
- Your full name
We need this information to deliver your message.
A volunteer or staff member will print your message on decorative paper, seal it and hand-deliver it to the patient.
Important details
- Patients cannot send a response through this service
- We cannot deny or confirm the presence of a patient at the hospital
- With the patient's verbal consent, we can read your message to them
- We will not forward emails if the patient has been discharged and is no longer staying at our hospital
- We will destroy undeliverable printed messages within 24 hours
- We will not store your personal information
