Questions about care
For questions about your child’s care at our hospital, please contact the clinic or service responsible for their care directly. You will find clinic contact information in the Clinics and Services section.
For free, non-emergency health information and advice, you can also speak to a health-care professional any time, day or night, by calling 8-1-1 or visiting HealthLink BC.
For medical emergencies, visit your nearest emergency department or call 9-1-1 for an ambulance. If you are unsure whether to visit the emergency department, visit our Emergency Department webpage for further information.
Media requests
The BC Children's Hospital Communications team is available to assist members of the media, as well as staff and providers with media requests.
A communications staff member is available during regular business hours, and a PHSA media relations officer is available after-hours and on weekends to provide accurate information as quickly as possible.

Health Information Management collects, stores and manages health records for several BC health authorities, including Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care, Fraser Health and the Provincial Health Services Authority.
To request information from your child's medical file, please fill out an Authorization for the Release of Health Records (PDF) form and submit by email, mail, fax or in person to:
