The Acute Pain Service (APS) is available to all inpatients of BC Children’s Hospital who require services to help support their comfort and pain care during their admission.

The Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) at Sunny Hill Health Centre offers specialized acute rehabilitation services and medical care for children, youth and families across BC.

The Adolescent Health Clinic is a specialized pediatric clinic that serves youth with complex health issues within the context of major medical, psychological, and social events during the transition to adulthood. 

The Allergy Clinic assesses patients experiencing a wide range of allergic conditions. As a specialist referral centre, we see patients who have complex conditions that may overlap or be uncontrolled.

Our team sees children and youth with severe speech and writing disabilities. We provide services in person, by telephone or virtually. 

We offer diagnostic hearing assessment for any child or youth under age 19 who is a resident of B.C. or Yukon and who meets any of the required criteria.

The BC Autism Assessment Network (BCAAN) assesses and diagnoses autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children and youth.

We diagnose, treat and manage metabolic diseases. These include amino acid disorders, fatty acid oxidation defects, organic acidurias, and disorders of the carbohydrate metabolism, including glycogen storage diseases, lysosomal storage disorders, peroxisomal disorders, mitochondrial disorders and neurometabolic disorders.

We provide comprehensive care for children and youth under 17 years of age who have cancer or complex blood disorders.

BC Children's Hospital’s Cardiology team provides expert care to children and youth living with a range of heart conditions, including congenital and acquired diseases.
