Audiology
We identify hearing loss in children and youth. We work closely with other health-care professionals and community partners to ensure children and youth get the hearing care they need.
BC Autism Assessment Network
We provide assessments for children and youth who present with symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is a provincial program with regional assessment centres.
BC Metabolic Nutrition Program
The BC Metabolic Nutrition Program (BCMNP) provides specialized metabolic formulas and low-protein foods to children and adults with rare genetic disorders of metabolism.
Biochemical Genetics
The Biochemical Genetics Clinic diagnoses and treats children and youth with inborn errors of metabolism.
Cancer and Blood Disorders
We provide comprehensive care for children under 17 years of age who have cancer or complex blood disorders.
Cardiology
BC Children's Hospital’s Cardiology team provides expert care to children and youth living with a range of heart conditions, including congenital and acquired diseases.
Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery
The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery team provides surgical care for infants, children and youth with congenital and acquired heart diseases.
Centre for Mindfulness
We are a community of health-care providers, caregivers and youth devoted to cultivating mindfulness and compassion in all aspects of hospital culture and care at BC Children’s Hospital. Together, we create a culture and environment where these may be experienced by everyone at our hospital, including children, youth, families, caregivers and health-care providers.
Cerebral Palsy Early Diagnosis
We provide assessments and examinations for early diagnosis of cerebral palsy.
Child Life
Certified Child Life specialists support children, youth and families in coping with their health-care journey, including hospitalization, tests, procedures and ongoing illness.
