Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre
We help families across BC and Yukon connect with peer support, access resources and services and provide tools to support child and youth well-being.
We provide free support to children and youth up to the age of 24.
The Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre offers:
- Peer support from trained FamilySmart family peer support workers. Through their lived experience, they offer non-judgmental and compassionate support to parents and caregivers anywhere in BC and Yukon who have children and youth with mental health and substance use challenges. Family peer support workers help with:
- Navigating the mental health and substance use system
- Exploring supports, networks and treatment options across BC
- Translation services. Contact us to arrange for an interpreter before speaking with a family peer support worker
- Online information resources including videos, books, conversation tools and educational webinars on a wide range of mental health and substance use challenges affecting children and youth
- The Where You Are podcast for parents and caregivers. Each episode features parents and caregivers alongside a leading health professional, offering tips and practical strategies you can use to promote your family’s wellness
