Social Pediatrics Referral
We provide regular primary health care outreach clinics and specialized pediatric health services that are easy to access for children, youth and their families in Vancouver’s inner-city neighbourhoods.
Specialized Pediatric Rehabilitation OUTpatient (SPROUT) Referral
The SPROUT (Specialized Pediatric Rehabilitation OUTpatient) Program provides family-centred, intensive outpatient rehabilitation services for children and youth up to 19 years of age with complex needs in BC and Yukon.
Spinal Cord Referral
The Spinal Cord Clinic serves children and youth from birth to the age of 18 who have a disorder of the spinal cord, either due to genetic or traumatic causes.
Substance Use Treatment Referral
BC Children’s Hospital works with two community partners to offer community beds for youth and young adults who are on their substance use journey and require more intensive care and supports.
Therapeutic Recreation Referral
The Therapeutic Recreation team at BC Children’s Hospital helps children and youth get involved in community activities, and fosters life-long recreation and leisure experiences. Our team consists of recreation therapists, some of whom specialize in aquatics.
Tone Management Referral
We evaluate children and youth who have muscle-tone issues like spasticity or dystonia, and who may have cerebral palsy.
Urology Referral
The Urology Clinic treats common problems such as urinary tract infections, wetting, undescended testis, hernias, hydronephrosis, hypospadias, hydroceles and urinary reflux.
Visual Impairment Referral
The Visual Impairment Clinic is a provincial program. We provide specialized assessment and diagnostic services for children and youth from birth to 19 years of age who have a suspected or known visual impairment.
