Hearing Loss
The Provincial Hearing Loss Program at Sunny Hill Health Centre provides specialized assessment and diagnosis services for children and youth from birth to 19 years old who have permanent conductive or sensorineural hearing loss.
Services available include:
- Assessment, diagnosis and recommendations: we pull together available sources of information to reach an understanding of developmental differences in children or youth who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Supporting families and professionals to understand and interpret the developmental progress of a child or youth in relation to their hearing status or hearing loss
- Partnering with families and professionals to advocate for the needs of the child within their own community
