Positioning and Mobility
Our team sees children and youth with disabilities who require special equipment to sit, stand or move.
The positioning and mobility team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, seating technologists, rehabilitation technologists and an engineer.
Our services include:
- Assessments for children and youth from birth to 19 years of age
- Providing complex, customized equipment
- Working with you, your child and your community professionals to plan the best solution for your child or youth
- Providing services either at Sunny Hill Health Centre or in your home community
Referral information
We accept referrals from doctors, physical therapists and occupational therapists. Providers can find more details on the process via our referral page.
Providers within BC Children’s Hospital may initiate a referral internally through CST Cerner.
Appointment details
Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your appointment time and check in with our receptionist at the main entrance of Sunny Hill Health Centre.

Indigenous Health
We advocate for and provide support to Indigenous patients and families who are visiting the hospital.
