BC Children's Hospital provides expert health care, including mental health care, for the most seriously ill or injured children from across British Columbia. Child development and rehabilitation is provided by Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, a program of BC Children's Hospital.
In addition to providing specialized pediatric services — many of which are not available elsewhere in the province – BC Children's Hospital is the province's leading teaching and research facility for child health.
BC Children's Hospital, including Sunny Hill Health Centre, delivers child and youth health and rehabilitation services and is the province's major treatment, teaching and research facility for child health, with 93,000 children cared for on an annual basis.

There is a great need for qualified physicians in the province of British Columbia. As an International Medical Graduate, you may be considered for available positions if you are eligible for registration. Positions require, at minimum, M.D. or equivalent degree and must hold or be eligible to hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Positions may also require relevant specialist experience, qualifications and/or certifications, as well as eligibility for Clinical Faculty appointment at the University of British Columbia.
BC Children’s Hospital has an agreement in place with the University of British Columbia for internships, research, and faculty appointments.
