LearnDiabetes is a set of online courses for families of youth and children living with type 1 diabetes. It provides easy-to-understand, interactive education. You can start it any time during your family's diabetes journey.
We have
guides for patients and families and well as
guides for health care professionals. These guides provide tips on how to register or sign into an account, access learning modules, and use the LearnDiabetes website.

The first course Foundations of Diabetes consists of nine learning modules:
- What is diabetes?
- Checking blood glucose
- Low blood glucose
- Insulin
- Diabetes and everyday diet
- Basal–bolus insulin therapy
- Activity
- High blood glucose and ketones
- Sick day management
Two additional courses, “Diabetes Technologies” and “Transitions Across Your Diabetes Journey,” are currently under development.
