Why is this surgery recommended?

• Correct abnormal position/twist of the lower leg
• Correct in toeing or out toeing during walking

What will happen during surgery?

Your child's surgeon will make a cut in the front of the lower leg.

The tibia (shin bone) is cut.

The bone is then rotated to the desired position.

Plate and screws are used to hold the bone in the new position.
